Scarlet Evening
$90.00
"Scarlet Evening" is an 11"x14" original acrylic riverscape on canvas panel, painted to capture the warmth of a sky that seems to glow from within. I imagined a late‑day river scene where the sun has just slipped below the trees and left the clouds blazing in reds, oranges, and deep rose tones.
In this piece, the water acts like a long, winding mirror, pulling those fiery colors down into the river's surface. Dark banks and tree lines anchor the brightness, giving your eye a place to rest so the scene doesn't feel overwhelming. I worked with rich, layered color in the sky and looser brushwork in the reflections to keep the painting feeling both grounded and slightly dreamlike.
This size works beautifully above a console table, at the end of a hallway, or near an entryway where you want an immediate sense of warmth. The scarlet and amber tones can bring life to a neutral room, while the river and distant landscape keep the overall mood relaxed rather than loud.
"Scarlet Evening" is a one‑of‑a‑kind piece of canvas art, so you'll be the only one with this exact sunset on your wall. If you're drawn to golden hours, campfire colors, and the way rivers seem to hold onto the day just a little longer, this painting was created with you in mind.
