A Sheep and Two Lambs
$90.00
"A Sheep and Two Lambs" is an 11"x14" original acrylic painting on canvas that grew from my love of quiet farm scenes. I imagined a gentle bend in a country river where a ewe brings her lambs to graze, the water sliding by as they explore the grass at the edge.
Soft, creamy whites and warm grays shape the sheep, with small strokes in the wool to suggest texture without weighing them down. I set them against fresh greens and muted earth tones so their forms stand out clearly, while the river reflects hints of sky and surrounding fields. The composition leads your eye from the animals to the water and back again, echoing the simple back-and-forth of their day.
This piece has a peaceful, pastoral feel-part farm scene, part riverscape-which makes it a comforting addition to kitchens, nurseries, or any room where you want a sense of warmth and home. The 11"x14" size is easy to frame and hang on its own, or to mix with other rural or animal-themed canvas art if you enjoy building small story clusters on your walls.
"A Sheep and Two Lambs" is one-of-a-kind original artwork, painted directly by hand, so the expressions, colors, and little gestures in each animal are unique. If this scene makes you think of a favorite farm memory or a different animal you'd like to see in a similar setting, I can also create a custom piece that carries your own story more closely.
