The Art Behind DStamate Art

I'm Douglas Stamate, the artist behind DStamate Art. I've always had a passion for art, but it wasn't until a few years ago that I began painting, turning a personal hobby into a meaningful creative journey.

Inspired by nature, I create original acrylic landscapes, seascapes, and riverscapes that capture peaceful moments through color, light, and texture. I also paint animal portraits and custom pet commissions, bringing cherished memories to life on canvas.

Original Pieces Made From Love

Each canvas offers original artwork inspired by rural America, painted to bring calm storytelling into everyday spaces.

Storybook Nature Scenes

I paint original acrylic landscapes, seascapes, and riverscapes that feel like quiet chapters in a favorite story.

Keepsakes for Animal Lovers

My custom pet portraits turn your photos into warm, character-filled paintings that honor beloved companions.

I offer one-of-a-kind canvases and art prints, giving you flexible ways to collect my work.

My Artistic Journey

DStamate Art is my way of sharing original acrylic paintings and pet portraits with others who love thoughtful, nature-inspired work. I have been interested in art for years, although I only started painting recently. The more I painted, the clearer it became that this needed to be more than a hobby. Turning toward professional art has let me focus intentionally on storytelling through quiet, rural American scenes.

Connecting Through Rural Scenes

My tagline, "Storybook vistas from rural America," captures what guides my brush. I am drawn to peaceful fields, rivers, lakes, and coastlines that feel familiar yet slightly dreamy. Each painting is meant to feel like a place you could walk into and remember. As a member of the Saugatuck Douglas Art Club, I continue learning, growing, and sharing this work with people who want art that feels personal. I invite you to explore the gallery or reach out about a custom piece.
