Cabin in the Mountains
$90.00
"Cabin in the Mountains" is an 11"x14" original acrylic painting on canvas panel that feels like a quiet retreat you can return to every day. I imagined a small, sturdy cabin tucked deep in the hills, just far enough from the river to be safe, but close enough that you can hear the water as you fall asleep.
Cool blues and soft greens shape the mountains and trees, while the cabin itself glows with warm, inviting color-a tiny beacon in the wider wilderness. The river curves through the foreground, catching light along its surface so it almost seems to move as you walk past the painting. I added small, thoughtful details-the angle of the roofline, the worn footpath down to the bank-to make the scene feel lived in, as if someone has just stepped inside to put another log on the fire.
On a wall, this piece acts like a window to calmer country days. It works beautifully in a reading nook, bedroom, or home office where you want a grounded, storybook mood without overwhelming the space. The 11"x14" size is easy to frame or prop on a shelf, and it pairs nicely with other nature pieces if you enjoy curating a little gallery.
"Cabin in the Mountains" is one-of-a-kind original artwork-hand-painted by me, not a print-so you'll be the only one with this exact view. If this scene speaks to you but you imagine a different season, time of day, or cabin style, I'm always happy to talk about a custom commission inspired by this painting.
