Two Birds

"Two Birds" is an 11"x14" original acrylic painting on canvas panel that grew from my habit of watching small birds share a branch, seemingly deep in conversation. I wanted this piece to feel like a gentle pause in nature-a quiet moment between two tiny companions.

The birds rest side by side in the foreground, their forms picked out with careful brushstrokes that suggest feathers without over-explaining every detail. Behind them, a soft landscape of trees, sky, or distant fields fades into looser color, keeping the focus on the small interaction at the center.

The palette leans toward natural greens, browns, and sky tones, making it easy to weave into most home décor while still offering a pop of life and movement. The composition has a calm rhythm that works especially well in spaces where you want a touch of nature without a lot of visual noise-think home offices, bedrooms, or small reading corners.

Painted on an 11"x14" canvas panel, "Two Birds" slips easily into standard frames and also sits nicely on shelves or mantels. If you love birdwatching, wildlife themes, or simply the idea of companionship in nature, this piece offers a gentle, heartwarming scene you can return to throughout the day.
