Lavender Evening

"Lavender Evening" is a 9"x12" original acrylic seascape on canvas board, created as a quiet tribute to those rare sunsets when the sky turns shades of violet and soft pink over the water. I wanted this piece to feel like the gentle exhale at the end of a long day-a moment when color and calm meet.
The sky carries the main melody here: layered purples, muted blues, and hints of warm light drifting across thin clouds. Below, the ocean or lake reflects those tones in ripples and bands, so the whole scene feels wrapped in the same lavender glow. The brushwork is deliberate but soft, suggesting movement without losing that overall sense of stillness.
At 9"x12", "Lavender Evening" is wonderfully versatile. It slips easily into smaller nooks-a hallway, a bathroom with coastal accents, a bedside wall-or pairs with other pieces to build a serene, storybook shoreline collection. The slender format also makes it a thoughtful gift for someone who loves pastel skies or needs a soothing focal point in a busy space.
Painted on sturdy canvas board, this original artwork is simple to frame and integrate into your existing décor. If the mood of this piece speaks to you but you're imagining a larger statement over a sofa or bed, I can create a related seascape with similar colors and feeling. "Lavender Evening" is for anyone who craves a soft, tranquil window to the coast-no matter how far they live from the water.
